SLOVENŠČINA 2+, Besedila in besedišče za južnoslovanske govorce slovenščine kot drugega jezika 2.1
Besedila in besedišče 2.1 is part of the Slovenščina 2+ teaching material, which is designed for learning Slovenian as a second or foreign language. It follows on from the Slovenščina 1+ teaching material and is intended for learners who already have a basic knowledge of Slovenian. It was developed as part of the programme Leto plus at the Faculty of Arts, primarily for international students at the University of Ljubljana who attend two semesters of Slovenian language classes.
The Slovenščina 2+ teaching material consists of three volumes. Besedila in besedišče 2.1 covers six topics, ranging from introduction and personal identity to sport and technology. Each unit comprises activities designed to help learners acquire vocabulary and communicative patterns, as well as texts for reading and listening. Tasks for written and spoken communication are also included. At the end of each unit, there is a section Vaje+, which contains activities for consolidating spelling, grammar, pragmatic and phonetic knowledge. The answers to the exercises are provided at the end of the book, allowing learners to use the material independently.
The material is designed for 45–60 contact hours of Slovenian language tuition with a teacher, although highly motivated learners may work through it faster. Learners who have completed Besedila in besedišče 2.1 can continue with the second volume of the teaching material, Besedila in besedišče 2.2, while grammatical topics can be studied further using Slovenščina 2+: Slovnične tabele in vaje.
