Courses for Adults
Slovene language courses are intended for those whose first language is not Slovene, however, they wish to learn it for different reasons. We offer various ways of learning Slovene in a stimulative environment, with experienced teachers and quality materials. We have more than 30 years of experience in the organising of courses and thousands of satisfied participants.

New Scholarships for Slovene Language Courses
In the Spring semester of the academic year 2021/22 we will be awarding new scholarships for Slovene language courses intended for participants who are members of Slovene ethnic minorities in other countries and descendants of Slovene expatriates and emigrants. The scholarships are available for:
- Morning Course of Slovene Language Online: application deadline is 10 February 2022, application form
- Afternoon Course of Slovene Language Online: application deadline is 10 February 2022, application form
- Slovene Language Course for Pupils who Would Like to Study in Slovenia: application deadline is 15 February 2022

Desetnica, Povodni mož and Lepa Vida – three stories about the women who left home.
Stories are adapted for readers with at least A2 knowledge of Slovene and are based on folk songs and works of France Prešeren and Fran Milčinski. More…

Upcoming courses
The courses are organised at all levels of language: elementary, intermediate and advanced. Prior to the beginning of each course, participants are tested and placed in an appropriate group based on their results.
NOTICE: In case of worsening of the epidemiological situation, all the courses will be held online.

Registration and payment
You can apply for a course by completing the application form on our website (first you have to choose a course) at least two weeks before the desired course begins.
After we have received the application form we will send you the invoice by regular mail or E-mail. The language course must be paid in full no later than 10 days before the beginning of the desired course. More…

Certificate of Attendance
An 80-percent attendance is required in order to receive an official Certificate of Attendance of a Slovene language course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana. More… -

Members of Slovene ethnic minorities in other countries and descendants of Slovene expatriates and emigrants can apply for the scholarship. More… -

Anyone with an interest in learning Slovene is very welcome. However, participants must be at least 18 years old. More… -
Accommodation
Accommodation is organised for the Youth Summer School participants only; for all other courses accommodation must be organised by participants themselves (it is recommended that you do so prior to your arrival to Slovenia). More… -
