KRIŽ KRAŽ
The text book Križ kraž offers beginners material for learning Slovene as a second or foreign language. It is aimed at children aged 5 and 6 who are not yet able to read and write, or are only just learning. With some adjustments, it can also be used for slightly younger or older children. There are 12 units dealing with things that children encounter every day. Learners acquire basic vocabulary and selected communication patterns. Each theme is covered by a progressive sequence of six to thirteen activities that complememnt each other. How to implement the activities is covered in the teacher’s book. The language level learners are expected to achieve by doing the activities is roughly A1 on the Common European Framework of Reference.
