
Slovene Language Course for the UL Employees
The course is intended for foreigners who are employed at the University of Ljubljana.
The course is free of charge. The number of places is limited. We will inform the participants before the beginning of the course if we have a group for them or not. When applying for the course participants must attach also a confirmation that they are employed at the University of Ljubljana. We accept only confirmations issued by the human resources department of the faculty.
Duration:
- Autumn: 9 October 2023–15 January 2024 (72 classes), there are no classes from 30 Oct to 3 Nov and from 25 Dec to 2 Jan
- Spring: 4 March–3 June 2024 (72 classes), there are no classes on 1 April and from 29 April to 3 May
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 3 classes, from 2.00 to 4.30 pm
Course:
The course is organized as a videoconference on ZOOM. The online classes are similar to the ones in a regular classroom. Your teacher is going to be with you live, for 3 classes, and will answer your questions. The teacher will give you various tasks.
IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE ONLINE CLASSES, YOU NEED:
- a good internet connection,
- a computer with a camera and a microphone
- and a quiet room.

Application
You can apply for the course with the application form by 25 September 2023 for the Autumn semester and by 19 February 2024 for the Spring semester.

Participants
The course is intended for beginners in Slovene and for participants who would like to improve their knowledge. In order to reach level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the candidate is expected to attend 550-700 hours of group classes under the guidance of a teacher. -
Certificates
Certificate of Attendance
At the end of the course you will receive an official Certificate of Attendance of a Slovene language course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana.
Certificate of Slovene
If you want to obtain an official certificate of Slovene you can take the Exam of Slovene at the Examination centre of the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language.
