Slovene Language Course for the UL Employees

The course is intended for foreigners who are employed at the University of Ljubljana.

The course is free of charge. The number of places is limited. We will inform the participants before the beginning of the course if we have a group for them or not. When applying for the course, participants must also attach a confirmation from the HR office of their faculty confirming that the participant is eligible to attend the Slovene language course.

Course and Duration:

  • three 45-minute lessons twice a week
  • Wednesdays from 2.00 to 4.30 pm and Fridays from 9.00 to 11.30 am
  • holidays (spring semester): from 27 Apr to 3 May 2026
  • holidays (autumn semester): from 26 Oct to 1 Nov 2026 and from 19 Dec 2026 to 3 Jan 2027
  • the course is carried out on the Zoom platform

In order to attend the online classes, you need:

  • a good internet connection,
  • a computer with a camera and a microphone
  • and a quiet room.

Number of Class Hours*: 90

  • 72 hours: in the classroom
  • 20 hours: homework

*1 class hour = 45 minutes
