Slovene can be studied as the main degree subject (3 + 2) and the undergraduate dissertation can be written in Slovene, while it can also be taken as a second or third language. Moreover, it may be taken as an additional or elective subject with a differing number of credit points, or as a foreign language subject on non-language courses. Students become familiar with Slovene literature, history and culture, the history of the language and dialectology; they also get practice in translating different kinds of texts.
