Matej Klemen studied Slovene and comparative literature at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts. As a language teaching assistant and university language teacher, he has taught Slovene in Slovenia, Austria, and the United Kingdom. At the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language, he leads the Teacher Training programme. He organises and conducts seminars for teachers of Slovene as a second and foreign language. He is the coauthor of several curricula, textbooks, and handbooks for teaching Slovene as a nonnative language.
