Prof. Damjan Huber, PhD<\/strong>, received his BA in Slovene and his PhD in textual phonetics and the standardisation and codification of Slovene at the University of Ljubljana\u2019s Faculty of Arts. At the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language, he is the head of two international events: the Seminar of Slovene Language, Literature, and Culture, and the <em>Obdobja <\/em>Symposium. He also contributes to the activities of the Slovene at Foreign Universities unit, the administration of Slovene language-proficiency exams, and the development of materials for teaching Slovene as a foreign language. Since July 2016, he has been the head of the centre\u2019s staff and, in 2020, he received an award for his professional achievements from the University of Ljubljana\u2019s Faculty of Arts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the University of Ljubljana\u2019s Faculty of Arts and the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television, and at the University of Klagenfurt\u2019s Institute of Slavic Studies, he teaches classes covering (standard) Slovene (textual) phonetics and speech perception and analysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fields of work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Management of the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language, organisation and implementation of international Slovene studies events, language in the workplace, corpus of Slovene as a nonnative language, (textual) phonetics<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assist.
