The online course is an opportunity for everyone who wishes to learn Slovene from the beginning or refresh and upgrade what they have already learnt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col span_1_of_3\">\n<p><strong>30 June\u201312 July 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn dynamic register orange\" href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/prijavnica-mladinska-poletna-sola-slovenscine-na-spletu-2024\/\">APPLICATION FORM<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"open-hours\">\n<h2>Duration\u00a0<\/h2>\n<div class=\"highlight\">\n<h3><strong>1\u201311 July 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>three 45-minute lessons a day, 30 school hours<\/li>\n<li>from 5.00 to 7.30 pm (Slovene time)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"location\">\n<h2>Course<\/h2>\n<p>The course is organized as a videoconference on ZOOM. The online classes are similar to the ones in a regular classroom. Your teacher is going to be with you live, every day for 3 school hours, and will answer your questions. The teacher will give you various tasks. There will be plenty of opportunities for conversation, phonetic exercises, grammar tasks, reading, listening and writing activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We will send you the textbook via regular mail; you will receive them before the beginning of the course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE ONLINE CLASSES, YOU NEED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a good internet connection,<\/li>\n<li>a computer with a camera and a microphone,<\/li>\n<li>printer<\/li>\n<li>and a quiet room.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"price\">\n<h2>Price: EUR 440<\/h2>\n<p>In each group there are 6 to 10 students.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"accordion\">\n<li>\n<h3>Certificates<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<h4>Certificate of Attendance\u00a0<\/h4>\n<p>At the end of the Youth Summer School you will receive an official Certificate of Attendance of a Slovene language course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana.<\/p>\n<h4>Certificate of Slovene<\/h4>\n<p>If you want to obtain an official certificate of Slovene you can take the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/en\/exams\/\">Exam of Slovene<\/a>\u00a0at the Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Level carried out by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/en\/exams\/\">Examination Centre<\/a>\u00a0at the Centre for Slovene as a Second\/Foreign Language and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/en\/exams\/examination-centre\/other-institutions\/\">other institutions<\/a>\u00a0in Slovenia (only the Bacis Level).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Participants\u00a0<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">Youth Summer School is aimed at teenagers aged between 11 and 17<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0For those over 18 years of age we will organize the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/en\/courses-for-adults\/online-courses\/summer-school\/\">Summer School Online<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Accompanying program<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">As a part of the Youth Summer School online, we will also prepare some Accompanying activities: watching Slovene film, group challenge, conversation with a guest, quiz &#8230;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Scholarships<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p>The Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad give scholarships for Slovenians from neighbouring countries and for the children of Slovenian emigrants from further afield. Applications for grants must include personal details about the candidate and reasons to support the demand. <strong>We will only consider applications written by candidates themselves.<\/strong> Applications for scholarships must be sent by <strong>15 May 2025<\/strong>\u00a0by post (to the address of the Centre for Slovene as a Second and Foreign Language ) or by email (<a href=\"mailto:damjana.kern@ff.uni-lj.si\">mladinski.tecaji@ff.uni-lj.si<\/a>). Results will be given in the beginning of June 2025.<\/p>\n<h4>The following will be taken into account:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Slovenians in neighbouring countries and children of Slovenian emigrants (proven Slovenian origin)<\/li>\n<li>age between 11 and 17\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>the number of grants received by applicants in the past<\/li>\n<li>participation in Slovenian organisations\/institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates who have never been awarded a scholarship have priority. We make an exception for those candidates who have proved to be excellent students in past years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Application<\/h3>\n<div class=\"accordion-content\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can apply for the course with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/centerslo.si\/prijavnica-mladinska-poletna-sola-slovenscine-na-spletu-2024\/\">application form<\/a>\u00a0no later than\u00a0<strong>1 June 2025<\/strong>. Before starting the course we will send a\u00a0<strong>placement test\u200b<\/strong>.
